Hi, hi! Welcome to day 18 of the Anime Challenge! Today’s topic is: Favorite Female Supporting Character!
There are so many great supporting characters out there (sometimes better than the main character!). I’m also horrible with choosing favorites. I feel though, that recently, there is one female supporting character that stands out to me.
This precious cinnamon roll. Uraraka Ochaco is not only adorable but she’s a dedicated friend, classmate and daughter.
Uraraka is so strong physically, mentally and emotionally and I did not expect to see such strength when I first saw her in My Hero Academia.
I think part of the reason I like Uraraka so much is because she reminds me a lot of Kushieda Minori from Toradora. No matter how down she may be, she’s always there to support and cheer on her friends.
And come on, her zero gravity quirk is amazing!
Who is your favorite female supporting character? Let me know here or on facebook! Thanks for reading!
No good person likes to see someone feel down. I always do my best to try to make it better for them in any way. Personally, I feel that if you always smile at people, you could make their day and not even know it.
If I’m having a bad day and someone takes just a moment to notice me and to smile at me it makes my day brighter.
Another thing that makes me similar to Komari is our love of sweets! I could seriously just eat candy, cakes, and donuts all day, every day!
Komari is also a bit clumsy and silly and I’m super clumsy and I try to be silly so that everyone around me can have fun.
Do you have any characters you feel that you are similar to?
Hi, hi! Welcome to day 2 of the anime challenge! Today’s topic is: Favorite Anime So Far!
This is a really, really tough one. I always have a difficult time picking favorites because there are different things that I like about each show or genre that really aren’t comparable to each other.
I suppose if I have to pick just one for the sake of this post, I’ll go with Toradora.

I absolutely love slice of life style anime so this one was not hard at all for me to get into once I started watching it.
This anime had so much character development and so much emotion running from some of the characters that made it easy to connect with them and to grow to love or hate them . There is a good amount of humor in it as well which was great. The anime balanced the humor well with everything else that went on throughout the show.
I really enjoyed most of the characters as well. They all had their own personalities that were all completely different but went together well with the personalities of their friends. It was also nice to see an anime in which characters started out as enemies so to speak that were able to become closer as the anime progressed.
I’d say that this anime also produced 2 of my favorite anime characters of all time.
I really grew to love Aisaka Taiga because she actually reminds me a bit of myself with her ‘tsundere’ attitude.
I remember when I was younger being comparable to a tsundere because I didn’t know how to express my emotions well or how to take compliments. Because of this, I was easily able to relate to Taiga and to sympathize with her as well.
My other favorite character would be Kushieda Minori. I absolutely love her perky personality as well as her love and dedication to her best friend, Taiga. She would and does do anything for Taiga.
I love her personality because I wish I was as perky and motivated as her. In all honesty, I’m kind of lazy! But I can absolutely relate to her in the way she would do anything for Taiga. I would do anything for my best friend as well!
The story and art for this anime are fantastic as well. I feel that the story was very well done and not rushed at all like a lot of other shows out there. I feel like it was given an appropriate amount of time to come to completion.
I do feel like the end of it could have been expanded on a bit more or that they could have shown a bit more in the ending credits or in a special epilogue episode or something. That also leaves a lot for the imagination though, I suppose.
The last thing about this anime that I’d like to talk about is one of my all time favorite anime songs came from Toradora! It’s a Christmas song but I love it so much that it’s actually my ringtone all year round. (It also gives me a good excuse to watch it every winter!)
What is your all time favorite anime? Let me know here or on Facebook! Thanks for reading!
Welcome to Doki-Doki Otaku! Here you will find reviews of anime, graphic novels, books and video/mobile games from me as well as play throughs for video games and possibly episode by episode updates of anime as I watch them!
I decided to start up this blog so that I could share my opinions on certain things with the world. I am by no means a professional writer or blogger. This is solely for fun.
First, though, a little about myself. I am a stay at home mother to one. (Anime mom, weird right?) I have been enjoying anime almost my entire life, starting with Sailor Moon (that original English dub that everyone thought was terrible!) and quickly branching out to things like the Tenchiseries and Miyazaki’s movies. My favorite anime genres are harem and slice of life but that does not mean that I limit myself to only these genres. I can’t really say that I have one specific favorite anime but some of my favorites include: Clannad, Lucky Star, Toradora, and Death Note.
My video game playing days came shortly before my anime watching days, however, and I started off with Super Mario World on the SNES. I prefer JRPGs and RPGs but I play other games as well. My favorite games include Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VIII, Super Mario Worldand Harvest Moon 64. More recently though, I’ve been playing Pokemon Ultra Sun, Destiny2, Final Fantasy XIV, Overwatch and Splatoon 2.
As for manga, I didn’t start reading manga until later on in high school, probably halfway through my junior year. The reason for this is that it was not readily available to me. However, I was lucky enough to have a few friends who let me borrow volumes of manga that they owned. Now I own several boxes full of manga myself.
I hope that you will enjoy my posts as much as I will enjoy creating them!
And remember, everyone has a little otaku in them!
