Favorite Goofy Character

Hi, hi! Welcome to day 21 of the Anime Challenge! Today’s topic is: Favorite Goofy Character!

There are lots of simple, comedic or even dramatic anime that have goofy characters. My favorite, though, comes from a more serious anime. It’s a slice of life anime that’s pretty simple but has it’s sad moments as well.

My favorite goofy character has to be Ibuki Fuko from Clannad.

Fuko has a pretty depressing back story. Despite this though, she remains cheerful and happy. She’s a bit ditsy which makes her super fun and silly though.

I can relate to Fuko on a certain level too. Her love for starfish is on par with my love for maids. Wait, did someone say maids?

Fuko’s theme also helps bring to life her personality and humor.

Seriously, though, how could anyone resist a cute ‘magical’ starfish girl who does the ‘Thriller’ dance and refers to herself in third person?!

Fuko may be a silly or goofy character in my opinion but that doesn’t stop her from being a great friend as well. She is generous and does her best to make the people she loves most happy.

Now that I’m thinking back on it, I can’t think of a character in Clannad that I don’t like! I’ve written about Furukawa Nagisa, Fujibayashi Kyou, and Furukawa Akio. My first tattoo was even a Clannad one!

Which anime character is your favorite ‘goofy’ character? Let me know here or on facebook!

Anime That Never Gets Old

Hi, hi! Welcome to day 14 of the Anime Challenge! Today’s Topic is: Anime that never gets old no matter how many times you re-watch it!

Honestly, a lot of anime that I enjoy I don’t like to re-watch often due to those feels. When I watch something I don’t mind if it makes me cry, but often times I want to relax.

One anime that I can watch over and over (and notice something new each time) is Lucky Star! I love an easy going, slice of life series!

I love the simplicity of Lucky Star as well as the bonds that the friends have. The anime is full of humor and references to other games, anime and manga. I like to go back and re-watch Lucky Star every year or so after I’ve seen and read more and can catch other references.

Izumi Konata reminds me so much of myself. I ALWAYS put off studying and homework (don’t do that).

Lucky Star is just a super fun and easy to relate to anime in my opinion. There’s so much basic life randomness to it.

What’s an anime you can watch over and over?

Anime I Want To See But Haven’t Yet

Hi, hi! Welcome to day 6 of the anime challenge! Today’s topic is: Anime I want to see but haven’t yet.

Wait. What?

One? I have such a huge list of anime that I want to watch.¬†😞 I’ll just go for that and post a small list! Maybe some of you have seen them and can tell me if they are worth watching!

In no particular order, some of the anime I want to see but haven’t yet are:

  1. Ef- A Tale of Memories/Ef-A Tale of Melodies

I don’t know too much about these at all but I do think the art style is absolutely gorgeous! <3
  2. Konosuba
This one has been recommended to me by a friend and I really want to watch it but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. ☹
Just from what I’m seeing, I think she will be my favorite. :3

    She’s super cute too though!
  3. K-ON!

I actually started this one a while back but the disc was messed up. I’d really like to go back to it soon. It looks super cute and innocent.
  4. Cowboy Bebop

I actually cannot believe I haven’t seen this one yet. It looks like something I’d love in all honesty.
  5. Azumanga Daioh

I’ve seen so many clips from this one. I have also heard it’s a fantastic slice of life anime. With that being my favorite genre of anime, I think I’ll absolutely need to sit down and watch this one soon.

Those are just a few of the anime that are toward the top of my ‘to watch’ list. Would you recommend any of these? And what anime do you really want to watch but haven’t yet? Let me know here or on facebook! Thanks for reading!

Waifu Wednesday – Karasuma Chitose

Hi, hi! Welcome to Waifu Wednesday! Today’s waifu is Karasuma Chitose!

I’m a sucker for slice of life and comedy anime. I enjoy many other types but when I just want to unwind or when I’m trying to multitask it’s nice to have something simple that I can turn on. Girlish Number is one that I’ve been watching recently.

Typically, I see slice of life as school kids, but it is so nice to find something that’s actually about the anime industry itself.

Karasuma Chitose is a voice actress within the anime industry. The anime however, shows the voice acting side, the business side and the consumer side of the industry.

However, the reason that Chitose is waifu material in my eyes is she has the perfect reaction faces. I’ve got 2 folders on my PC solely for the moments in which I need the perfect reaction and emoji just can’t do it.

I feel she also embodies most people in the way that she will react in the appropriate manner in front of the right people but when she turns her head or is alone she quickly gives the responses that most of us really feel in uncomfortable situations or situations we don’t agree with.

This one’s probably my favorite! Source
I <3 her in glasses Source
This style is too cute!! Source

Have you seen Girlish Number? Let me know here, on facebook, or discord! If you’ve seen it, did you enjoy it? If not, is it on your ‘to watch’ list?
