Persona5 The Animation- THE DAY BREAKERS- Episode 0

When I first saw that there would be a Persona 5 animation released before the game, I stayed away from it, fearing spoilers. I later read that it would contain no story line spoilers for the game at all.

LootAnime- School Life Unboxing

Okay, so I’ve had quite a few Loot Crate subscription boxes before. The first one was okay so I kept getting them hoping that they would get better.

They got worse.

I became increasingly disappointed at the arrangement of items that was put into each box for the money I was spending. Eventually I ended my subscription and only ordered one more when there was one that I knew would have an X-Files T-shirt in it.

The anime ones, however, always looked really exciting to me and when I saw that this months was going to have Danganronpa and Persona 3 items, both of which I am currently playing, as well as Fruits Basket which I’ve read and seen and Digimon (Oh nostalgia!) items, I had to get it.

I will say I had my hopes up for a Danganronpa shirt and was let down. However, The rest of the items were awesome! Even the Danganronpa item was pretty neat!

If you are awaiting your LootAnime crate and have not yet received it and want your items to be a surprise do not read further as I will be posting the items below.

I have yet to see Revolutionary Girl Utena, but it’s on my list! This bento box for it is adorable though and I was so amazed that it actually came with its own chopsticks! I’m also super happy that it’s two tiered and that it comes with a divider ^_^

When I saw the Danganronpa item was a tie, I really hoped for a bow tie because I received a bow tie in another crate and use it as a hair bow, but I’m sure I can figure out how to use this one in my hair as well!

The back to school phone charm was a nice addition because it has attachments to loop it through those holes on some phones as well as a normal clasp and a headphone jack attachment.

The Fruits Basket key chains are just absolutely adorable! I loved Fruits Basket so much and to have little chibi Fruits Basket characters of my own makes it even more awesome. However, I do not think that I will be using them as charms or key chains for anything because I’m afraid they might be a little too fragile to be banged around. 20160829_130041

I have not seen Assassination Classroom yet but I do really like the magnetic marker board that I got because I really needed something like that to help keep me organized and having it around will force me to watch it because I refuse to hang something up or to wear anything that has characters from something I haven’t seen haha!

I haven’t finished Persona 3 Portable yet (that’s the Persona 3 game I decided to start with), so I probably won’t read the manga until I’m finished so I can avoid any spoilers for myself but it was so awesome to get a manga in my loot crate! That will also prompt me to finish the game more quickly so that I can sit down and read the manga and write about it as well!

The Digimon Adventure Tri prints were a fantastic addition as well. I love having any kind of nice professional anime artwork around. I can’t wait to frame them and hang them up!

Finally, within the loot crate there was a ginormous poster! It’s super cute but sadly I don’t think the folds in it will come out so I don’t think it will look super awesome hung up. 🙁

Overall, I’m so  glad that I decided to get this one! I was not disappointed at all! I will absolutely be getting more of the LootAnime crates in the future! ^_^

My love of anime started with Sailor Moon, but shortly after that I discovered Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. My first Ghibli film was Kiki’s Delivery Service but I quickly expanded and watched whatever I could find. I have yet to see all of these works and am slowly enjoying them, I was able to recently sit down and watch The Wind Rises.

As I remember Miyazaki’s works, I always think of something sort of supernatural or magical. For instance, in Kiki’s Delivery Service there are witches, in Howl’s Moving Castle there are wizards, spells, portals and all sorts of magical instances, etc. I also remember that in every Miyazaki film that I had seen prior to The Wind Rises, the main protagonist was always a female. So, when I sat down to watch this movie I was shocked to learn that the main protagonist was instead, a male. It was a nice change for sure.

The Wind Rises really captivated me with its non-magical story about Jiro Horikoshi, a young boy who dreamed of becoming an aeronautical engineer after realizing that his eyesight would prevent him from becoming a pilot and being encouraged by Caproni in a dream.

This movie is set during the years after World War I and up into World War II. Jiro, on his way to university, is traveling via train when the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 strikes. There he meets a young girl named Naoko and her maid and provides aid when the maid has broken her leg. After providing aid, Jiro quickly leaves without giving the two his name.
